What I'm thankful for, con't

I am thankful for the little creatures, too. In size, not ego or heart.

I'm thankful no one else wanted Meriwether...

...since I now get my monitor cleaned regularly (albeit on his schedule, not mine)

and because that meant that our tough old Biker Babe, Cleo...

...now has a friend, and that has gentled her. Or at least age has!

(and yes, for those who know me... that is a sectioned howitzer projectile Cleo is sleeping on)

I'm thankful for Gandalf the Grey, who just hung out in the front yard looking cute...

until She Who Will Be Obeyed softened her heart. And he still makes time from doing important things like licking his butt to acknowledge my existence...
if a bit grumpily.

I'm thankful that we rescued Little Orphan Annie...

...because it means I get my hair groomed, and Rest Stop has a friend.

Barney is a blessing, because now Beth has someone to talk to who will talk back, unlike me sometimes...

And of course, the oldest and bestest of my little friends, Little Girl, the Empress of Dark.

Who keeps me straight, approves my reading material...

...and makes sure I don't surf any p0rn sites.

Then there's the big fellas!

I'm thankful for Willy,

Who is still not convinced that cameras aren't edible...

And does a pretty good Elvis impersonation...

His somewhat bratty brother Petey...

Never lets a camera interfere with dinner.

I love 'em all - and perhaps most important thing they teach me is that amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life, even with my vicarious participation in the Global War on Terrorism, ya just gotta take time to snooze in the sun.
