Part and parcel of understanding soldiers, especially soldiers of a different era, is understanding their doctrine and training. I collect that kind of ephemera, too. Here is a selection of mostly US WWI training books. The smaller ones are designed to fit into the tunic pocket, for use on your own or when the opportunity comes up to do a little impromptu training.
