Blackfive has a post regarding Veteran's Day that quotes the late lamented Mike Royko.
Like most of Blackfive's veteran pals, I, too, will be working tomorrow, as I no longer work directly for a federal, state, or local government entity or bank.
I will say this - when the company I work for offered employees the chance to trade Veteran's Day for the day after Thanksgiving - the vets working at the company were asked to vote on it. I wasn't with the firm then, but we voted to do it, so I can't gripe - and things like that are just one reason I like working for this company!
