While studying for a double major degree in Classical Studies and History Murray tends to write more than is actually needed to pass his papers and this is where the overflow ends up. Much of it is the result of finding that academic "knowledge" is not always fact based and that "the text book was wrong so I corrected it" is not a good answer. Some academics have made some slight errors in information interpretation and in the light of of some practical testing we have been able to provide a clearer picture in some things.
(This is a polite way of saying they're frequently "wrong".)

This is where he sets the recond straight based on that practical experience.

You are welcome of to reference these papers but not use them entire. Keep in mind you're dealing with someone who has access to artillery and a history and getting really annoyed with people who rip him off. Just saying.
